Benefits of Tiger Nuts
Irresistible Natural Attraction
Tigernuts are a source of complete nutrition, rich in:
- Natural sugars: It creates a sweet, distinct and irresistible taste.
- Essential vegetable oils: They stimulate repeated feeding and maintain fish interest.
-
Fiber and carbohydrates: It ensures high digestibility and slow release of attractants.
This unique composition generates an intense nutritional signal, which attracts carp and keeps them active on the wade for long periods.
Proven Performance on Difficult Waters
Recently, Tigernuts have recorded remarkable successes on:
- Heavily fished ponds, where other baits fail.
- Wild lakes with high pressure from anglers.
-
Long competitions and matches (48–72h), demonstrating efficiency even in cold waters.
The results confirm: they are a reliable bait, which ensures a real selection of catches.
Maximum Versatility and Selectivity
Tiger nuts are extremely adaptable:
- Hook bait: Perfect for use alone on the hair.
- Bait mixes: They can be included in mixtures with corn, seeds or boilies.
-
Balanced presentations: It pairs great with a 6–8mm pop-up for a critically balanced (semi-floating) presentation.
Their crunchy texture makes them resistant to attack by small fish (serpentine, crucian carp) or crayfish, ensuring that the bait remains intact for the carp.
Attention! Correct Preparation is Mandatory!
The use of uncooked tiger nuts is strictly prohibited on most ponds! To protect fish fauna and maximize attraction, it is essential to prepare them correctly.
Preparation Guide: Recommended Method (Boiling + Fermentation)
-
Soaking: Leave the tiger nuts to soak for 24–48 hours in cold water. Make sure they are completely covered.
-
Boiling: Boil them in the same water for 40–60 minutes , until they become soft on the inside and can be easily pierced.
-
Fermentation (The Secret of the Power of Attraction): Let the hazelnuts ferment for 2–4 days . in its own liquid, in a tightly closed container. The liquid will become gelatinous, an extremely attractive natural syrup.
Pro Tip: For added appeal, during boiling or fermentation you can add brown sugar, molasses, CSL, or betaine.
