FUSION TAKEN TO ecstasy!
We can say that fishing for some of us is not just an excuse to drink alcohol or participate in a barbecue, a meeting with socializing friends or a hobby. Fishing means much more!!!
In a few lines I will tell you about the latest fishing game, more than that the participation of the Myon Baits team in one of the most established competitions in the country - "Carp eDiem - 2020 -"
As usual, before going fishing, the preparations start a week before, with us the preparations started a little earlier, with the idea of not leaving anything out, to prepare the strategies in advance, not to risk that the game itself will take us by surprise, to look in advance for solutions in certain deficient cases. Thus, starting from the notation in lists and tables of all the equipment, the necessary baits and lures, the minimum comfort and the needs of the team, I anticipated with all the team members that we will make a good impression at this competition.
As an unfathomable suspense and adrenaline begins to set in even 2-3 days before, we manage for all the team members to meet and work out the last details; from food and firewood, portable toilet and down to the smallest detail of finesse, mounts and strategy at the beginning of the game. Thus, from Saturday to Sunday night, each of us "rested" like a rabbit, being tense in us a fierce emotion. With every kilometer down to the location, the air in the lungs seemed to be getting less and less. We are looking forward to meeting the other 23 teams and to start the drawing of lots, to see what fate, luck decides in what was going to be an unforgettable contest. I don't know if we wanted a particular stand because there was already a nebula in our heads, to make a beautiful figure and not to disappoint in any way, but even more than that, to prove in the competition that a young team in competitions does everything in its power to be on the podium. After the young team member. "Father Gyuri" (as we all fondle him) pulls a stand where we have fished freely in the past, we are not breathing very easy due to the composition of the teams in sector A. A tough game is announced both in the sector and in general:
A stand 21/A5 full of surprises, strong neighbors with vast experience, would reassure us immediately after the completion of the installation in the "camp" and the last elements, Myon Baits flags, delimiting our fishing area very well.
A last technical meeting would take place in one of the tents, establishing exactly what to start with from the first day of the competition. Being a close-knit team and understanding each other by looking at each other, it didn't last very long and we later tried to relax the atmosphere so that in the morning we can start strong with all the "batteries" charged:
I slept……almost as much as you would say OVER….that's how short the night seemed to us, until the phone alarms started ringing. One more stressed than the other, we activated immediately after the tasty coffee with nutella started to reach its goal.
What was to come did not take into account what a tiring week we would face, we were prepared body and soul! With the rods on the rod-pod-ri, implicitly the spare ones, I waited with my soul in my mouth for START COMPETITION. After a rather weak day where at the scales at 18:00 we ranked in the ranking with only 11.48 kg, the night would have a very promising fishing in store for us.
Thus, with the setting of the sun on the first day, an 18+ in rods also appears here. We were starting to hope that the 20+ would surely come.
After a rather naive first night with only 80.5 kg, we were going to start a second day, with a different strategy and a different plan of attack. Combining the established boilies 24mm REDSquidPills + 16mm with ECONutt (the first Myon Baits tiger nut-based birdfood specially designed for the Sacosu Turcesc pond, which is to be officially launched at the beginning of 2021) we had, at the evening scale, installed ourselves in the top ranking of Sector A.
As an enigma that was not based on the experience of night fishing on Sacos, we were once again pleasantly surprised that on the scales after the second night we again presented over 80kg. To have entered the books? I was following the other teams from the other sectors with a slight gloom and the classic question marks began: What are we not doing well? Why do the others from sectors B and C have a few hundred kilograms more than us?
We continued our strategy, the plan and with a lot of work and trust in ourselves we managed to combine the useful with the pleasant, to make a dream week, going through many fluctuations in tension, the adrenaline in us taking out its fangs.
Fatigue seems to have its say on each of us, although we were very well organized from this point of view. We divided the nights into 2 teams so that our performance was constant, hence the good results during the night.
We remained at the top of the sector ranking for the entire duration of the competition, so that the last night will start and at the same time end promisingly in our favor!!!
Immediately, after the last official weigh-in, we had to do our calculations and settle for a podium overall, which was not a bad place. We had fulfilled the objective of the competition to some extent!
The most exciting moment of the week was when we found out that we are not only on the podium, but we won and we are positioned on PLACE 1 overall due to the very good score obtained at the place in the sector and the 5 biggest fish!
I want to congratulate my team mates for all the effort put in, for all the effort and patience they had in all the 4 days and 5 nights spent together, for the trust and perseverance that everyone had in him and because we were a truly Magic Myon Baits TEAM!!!
